MacBooks are here! My impressions…

When I first saw the MacBook box, I was delighted by Apple’s packaging decisions. Apple’s packaging and packing methods have always been one of those things that make the experience of buying a Mac what it is. That topic is a whole new entry, which I will address later. So, suffice it to say, cool box.

I opened the box, lifted off the styrofoam top, and pulled out the MacBook, wrapped in a cloth/fabric form fitting enclosure. I slid the book out of the sleeve, and went for the magnetic latch.

The latch opened easily, and the glossy screen caught my eye. Apple has to work hard to do something that I *don’t* like, and when I had read people’s impressions of the screen being glossy, and how they didn’t like it, I worried about what I would think. Well, now that I’ve used the glossy screen, I can say that I love the brightness and fidelity it adds.
